Wishing you all the best for the Holidays

I wish all of you nothing but peace, health and happiness during the Holidays. During the baseball season this blog can act like a family, but today enjoy your own families.

Take care my friends. Best, John

Have a Happy Thanksgiving

In the list of things I am thankful for, the loyalty and kindness of my readers is at the top of the list. Many of you have stayed with me through the years and for that I am most grateful. There are a lot of reasons why I still do the blog and your support is at the top of the list.

I wish you all have a happy and safe Thanksgiving with your families.

My best to all of you.

Thanks,

JD

New Chat Room; where did it go?

Game #150 vs. Braves

To access the New Chat Room, click onto the Mets Chat icon to your left.

The season is gone. We’re winding down to another Metsless October. I know the activity on the blog and chat room is down, but a lot of that has to do with the play of the team.

I am optimistic about the new chat room in the future and thank those of you for your continued support.

The season? Damn, it just seems like yesterday that Daniel Murphy was hurt in spring training, Jose Reyes was down with a thyroid problem and the Mets were about to make the mistake of taking Jenrry Mejia north.

It has been an eventful season, and we all understand this isn’t a good team. It has a better record than last year, but there’s a lot of work to do. And, I hope you’ll stay with me as we talk about it.

New Chat Room; Which way for Pelfrey?

Mike Pelfrey will be making his third start in an effort set a career mark in victories. Pelfrey (13-9, 3.96) had appeared to get back on track from July slump, but has lost his last two starts with an ERA of 10.38.

Game #142 vs. Phillies

“I just see a guy that kind of loses confidence and I see a guy that doesn’t have the presence on the mound,’’ manager Jerry Manuel said.

Manuel called Pelfrey an enigma after he followed a 9-1 by going 4-8.

Pelfrey has shown glimpses of dominance several times during his career, but then regressed to where he loses composure and concentration on the mound.

It’s odd, but despite his erratic performance, Pelfrey can still finish north of 15 victories which is a bench mark number for a starter.

Please check out the New Chat Room blog. To access, click on the logo to the left of this post.

Have a great day everybody.

Best, JD

Some Chat Room news ….

I have enjoyed doing the Chat Room with you guys. It means a lot to me that you’re still with me. I’m the only Mets blogger that continually watches and comments the game with his readers.

The Chat Room has caught the attention of others to where I will expand it, beginning with Monday’s game with the Braves. I didn’t want to do it over the weekend when the viewing is down to begin with.

I have linked up with the Metsmerizedonline.web and their readers will joining us. Part of this agreement also includes being linked up with other team’s websites. It’s a new process, but we’re on the ground floor and I’m optimistic it will bring more readers to the blog.

I will still be in the room to converse with you so that won’t change as I would never sacrifice my readers. I believe this is something that will help the blog and I’m optimistic for your continued support.

I’ll have more details later.

Thanks.-JD

New York Mets Report Is Back!

Hi Mets fans,

Let me first apologize for the site being down for the last 24 hours. I was in the process of changing servers and hosts so that I can continue to provide you with a smoother experience moving forward.

We have already implemented some changes to the site, including returning to a traditional blog format which most readers seemed to prefer.

I have a few more changes in store in the coming weeks, but none that will interfere with your access to the site, and our future changes geared toward enhancing your experience and taking advantage of the latest in new media and social networking.

Thank you for your support.

March 1.10: A new look.

How do you like it? As you can see the site has a new look. I mentioned doing new things with the blog and this is just part of it. Joe McDonald originally got me off the ground and we are working together again and this is what we came up with.

Part of a new look will also include more content. I will try, expenses permitting, to get to Citi Field more often this summer. I’ve talked with several of you about adding new things and that is the intent. I hope you enjoy the new look and your comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Feb. 14.10: Happy Valentine’s Day.

On this holiday about love I hope you’re all with your significant others. For some of us, our lives are made up of many loves, many passions …. and for the readers of this blog, there’s a passion to baseball and the Mets.

What is it about baseball that you love like no other sport? And, what is it that drew you toward the Mets and caused you to never let go? And, never will.
