Happy Thanksgiving To All

This is the time of year to express gratitude for what we have and realize despite our troubles somebody always has it worse. I am thankful for family and friends, but also to my readers who have supported me and my blog.

I appreciate your readership and comments. I welcome the give-and-take with you and have tried to make this blog both entertaining and informative. There are times things go in spurts, but I am trying to maintain consistency and want to keep giving you more.

In a couple of weeks I’ll be at the Winter Meetings and planning another trip to spring training. Until then, please keep reading and know how much I appreciate you.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving, and keep up the good work.

When your at S.T. if you have a chance to watch Logan Verrett pitch, do it. He’ll be a 3rd year pro next year, I believe, and is touted as having the best slider in our minors. His command is fantastic with his heat and slider, and good with his curve and change. I’ve seen Logan hit as high as 94 with his FB, and the day he starts throwing inside is the day a Ace is born.

I’m thankful for many things, and in regards to being a Mets fan, I’m very thankful to be pitching rich.

JD, as much as the thought of JD’s brother joining this team makes me cringe, I believe you see him as a good-to-great fit, so here’s some news, which I’m sure you know, but others may not. According to Buster Olney, Steven Drew was foolish to turn down BOS qualifying offer, and may put himself on the outside looking in. The Mets are reportedly swayed away due to draft pick compensation, but maybe a deal is struck on the cheap. I’m sure not pulling for it to happen, but for a split second, will be thankful that you got your guy. After that, Steven would have to prove himself, and if he did then I’d be thankful to.

    Happy Thanksgiving Everybody
    Keep up the good work
