Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving. There are a lot of things I am thankful for today even in what has been a most difficult year. I’m thankful for my health, and friends and family. I’m also thankful for many of the people who offered encouragement after I was laid off. I’ll never forget that.
I’ll also never forget you folks. The blog gave me a sense of balance and something to look forward to when I was deeply depressed. You guys gave me more than you could possibly imagine and I’ll be always thankful.
I hope you’ll take the blog today and post what it is you’re most thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving my friends. JD

John,
Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
Guess what – most of us who post here are thankful for you.
This is not your average blog – it’s become a community of people who love baseball and the Mets, but it is so much more.
This is where you will blog a game and then talk about it – sometimes for days.
This is where you can discuss the overall world of sports — where you can find a friend who will share their sports experiences — where you can ask questions and they will be answered..
Mostly, it’s where you can learn about sports from someone who has lived their whole life with them – that’s you, John.
I am very glad to have been part of this blog from the beginning, and I have learned a lot.
Thank you.
Happy Thanksgiving, John. I am Thankfull to live in a land of plenty that we often take for granted. Gratefull for My family and my health. I am also gratefull for this blog. As Annie said, there is none other like it.
