  1. Definitely starting pitching, as the entire rotation is a huge question mark.
The ace is healing; the No. 2 really should be a No. 3 or No. 4 and is coming back from a bad year; the No. 3 and No. 4 are attempting to come back from injury-plagued years and the flotsam and jetsam which constituted No. 5s couldn’t cut it.
John Lackey, Rich Harden, Joel Pineiro, Jon Garland, Ben Sheets and Randy Wolf are all out there as free agents, some with past injury issues. It’s a total crapshoot.

  2. here is a link to our prospects

look at who they say are our top prospects the last 10 years.

pretty sad considering what the past 10 years has produced in the majors.

our top prospect has a good fastball and a 12 era.

fmart is no longer our top prospect. think about that one.

fmart does not register in any of the best categories for a position player.

  3. Geoff Goetz still has the 5th highest bonus in Mets history with $1.7 million. Never made it out of AA. I hope the Wilpons didn’t introduce him to Bernie Madoff.
