  1. Hi John – No score at the end of four, but some interesting adventures on the field for both teams.

  2. dave (7): I think a lot of people feel that way. There’s something about the Yankees. A love them-hate them thing, No middle ground.-JD

  3. i dont hate them.

i pay some attention because this is ny, but i dont watch. just read the headlines.

i know they have some good players and a bunch of prima donnas.

  4. dave (10): A lot of the latter. … If you’re the Twins you have to be glad Jeter is out of the way now and not about to bat in the ninth.-JD

  5. this is a small market team.

i dont know their players, but they have a sub that makes beautiful plays at third, a pitcher in the second game who has a 4 era but gave up 1 run and 3 hits in 5 in an important game; have an eigth inning guy with a 2 era and a team that played a beautiful game 2 days ago.

i dont remember when we last played a nice game.

  6. JOhn (18) Yes, no one was here for a while so I went into the living room to watch on TV. I’m surprised that the Yankee fans don’t realize that their team doesn’t win all the time…

  7. why did that guy groove 2 fastballs down the middle of the plate for Arod to get to swisher?

  8. Tiexiera is a jewel out there – seems to always be in the right place at the right time. What a smart player.

  9. That Carlos Gomez at-bat was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Bases loaded, one out, with the go ahead runs on…and you swing — weakly, at that — at the FIRST pitch??!! What was Delmon Young doing also swinging at the first pitch??!!
I can’t stand to see the Yankees win, but it’s even worse when their opponents beat themselves!!

  10. Also, in the 10th, why in the hell did Ron Gardenhire elect to actually pitch to Derek Jeter with the potential winning run on second and one out and first base open??!!
Jeter’s run meant nothing, he’s one of the most clutch hitters in the game and walking him sets up a potential DP.
    What was Gardenhire thinking?
And what was Nathan thinking trying to pickoff a runner of second.

  11. Gil (33): I don’t have the answers to any of those questions. Surprised by both. …. Still a little miffed at the call in left. No excuse for that.-JD

  12. When was the last time when an umpire call went against the Yankees in the post season? Maybe the 1964 World Series when Ellie Howard was called out at first right before Tom Tresh tied the score with a home run in the ninth. The Twins deserve a lot of blane: bases loaded with no outs and Dave Robertson pitching????
