This Day in Baseball History ….
In 1991, Oakland’s Rickey Henderson hit safely in each of the first five innings, with singles in the first four innings and a homer in the fifth. Henderson also scored four runs and drove in four as the Athletics beat Texas, 19-5.

Wow, they pinch hit for him after he went 5-5? I know you don’t want to risk injuries and whatnot in a blowout so you can pull him in the field, but to PH for him? There have only been what a few dozen 6 hit games in baseball history and only what 2 or 3 7 hit games? Seems a little odd to me.
However, on Ricky, he is one of my favorite players of all time and I just love Ricky talking about Ricky.
