With 59 left to play, that means just to win 90 games they have to go 40 - 19 the rest of the way. That's a .678 winning percentage. But is that enough to win the Wild Card? Here's the number of games won by NL Wild Card winners the past eight years: 2001: 93 (Cards) 2002: 95 (Giants) 2003: 91 (Marlins) 2004: 92 (Astros) 2005: 89 (Astros) 2006: 88 (Dodgers) 2007: 90 (Rockies) 2008: 90 (Brewers) To equal the least number of wins among those (88) the Mets have to go 38 - 21, or play .644 the rest of the way.
