A little more fuel ….

The Phillies have mailed out their season ticket plans. The tickets have a photo of Phillies player on them. However, for the games against the Mets the Phillies have the World Series trophy.

Jim (4): Of all that you mentioned, Duaner Sanchez concerns me most. They need a reliable bridge to the eighth and ninth innings and that guy is Sanchez.-JD

As Jose said the other day. They won the trophy. Why are they so obsessed with us?

Is it because Philadelphia is a second tier city and not up to the level of New York?

  8. Scott from Pelham February 25, 2009 4:23 pm

    Sean Green got hurt.
I guess Omar should have known this was going to happen.
Omar just needs to stop trading for over the hill pitchers.

haha yes scott…how did he not know he was going to be injured

John- I agree 100%. having putz and krod is not enough. green was supposedly going to be the 7th inning guy but as we learn today, one quick injury can change everything

Any news on how Castillo played in the field.

Castillo going 2-3 keeps the boo birds away for a day.

  13. jim bmore February 25, 2009 5:54 pm

havent heard about his fielding today..i have heard previously that he looked rusty and not great in the field so far but hopefully that changes

  14. Harry Chiti February 25, 2009 6:30 pm

    (10) Pagan making the team would be far from the worst thing in the world. He plays hard, fields good etc.
    (8) Pelham: You are so in love with Omar there’s no sense discussing. If you think he’s perfect GM, so be it. Question tho…. How many WS flags has he put up? Same as me. so we are equal. Same as you so we all 3 are equal!

    Harry
Sometimes you are just a silly man.

Last year you cried about Tatis all spring.
This year its been Redding, but hey it early you will find someone else new to pick on.

You are starting to make Joe Benigno sound like the voice of reason among Met fans.

Do you have any idea how difficult that is.

  16. Harry Chiti February 25, 2009 8:05 pm

    (15) You’ll have to educate me Scott. I don’t know who this Beningno guy is?

As for Redding, when he was signed I said nice things about it. However, then I found out that Minaya signed the guy after he had surgery. If you like that kind of sign, there’s nothing to say. I think you don’t sign injured and old guys, you think its ok. We are at a stand-off. But do tell me about Beningo, Sounds like you think’d like him.
As for being a silly man. I’ll accept that!!!!!
What I think is amazing however, is there are 16 comments on a post about the Phillies mind games and only one about Tatis.
PS: Last year I think I cried about the Church trade, the Alou re-up . I think theyt were my biggies. I don’t think anyone was thinking Tatis had anything left in the tank. He did start the year in the Buffalo of the South did he not?

joe beningno is a very entertaining sports commentator on sny. he sits on a panel with other high strung ppl which makes for a more entertaining if perhaps less informative show.

i believe tatis was in AAA at the start of the year and was out of the game for 2 years so who knew and who cared?

  18. Harry Chiti February 26, 2009 7:15 am

    (17) Thanks for the Beningno info. I live outside NY area so I don’t get SNY. Based on that I say Thanks Scott!!

I think you hit the Tatis Spring ’08 right on the nail!

Harry – Beningo also co-hosts a radio show every Mon thru Fri from 10am to 1pm on WFAN.
